Dance gives us knowledge on how to keep moving and enjoying movement throughout the entire life, how to keep our bodies strong, flexible and healthy. The Dancing cards where developed to be used as a tool to introduce improvised movement at a nonjudgmental space. Whether you are a beginner or advanced mover, you can enhance your dance practice and find your natural movement with the Dancing Cards. Improvised movement that is based on internal and external experiences of the individual deepens the overall insight of the dancer. All levels of movers benefit from this type of dance practice as it is the study of the self. The dance educators are there to guide us but they can't feel the dance for you. Most of the dancers I have collaborated with have gone to work with mindful practices such as pilates, Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis and Simonsson dance technique. Mindful self-care can truly extend the dancers career and keep us moving from within.
